I mentioned on Tuesday that I spoke to the Michigan Child Study group, well I wanted to share a letter I got, I was so moved and honestly I can’t say how wonderful it made me feel to see that my love and passion for photography inspired someone to go out and try. Then not only did she try, she sent me the most lovely shots of her two kids. Here is a bit of the letter :

I cannot thank you enough for what was for me the BEST Child Study presentation yet. Your delivery was so fun, your information was so useful and your encouragement was just what I needed. I’ve had a digital camera for about a year now and still treated it like my old film camera….sparingly taking pictures afraid to “waste the film.”

Today was a PICTURE PERFECT day to take advantage of your tips for natural light, close up shots and off center framing (and the hug shot). I took the kids in the yard where we have a GORGEOUS yellow tree and we had the best time shooting picture after picture. I’m super excited to get back out there again tomorrow and I just had to send some of my pictures from the day. They turned out so perfect (for me—which is all that matters, right?)

I wanted to compliment you on your website too. You are so very talented in so many ways. You picked out great quotes, great music and all your photos are wonderful. You’re an absolute pleasure to listen to as well. I wish you the very best with your true calling in life.
