When my friend Aimee told me her little pug Gunther was starting so slip into ill health and she expressed how hard it is to watch him getting older I kept thinking what could I do to make it better for her… I’ve lost my best friends and I know there really isn’t much except being there… then I thought of my friend Susan who has shared sessions she’s done with families who are preparing for the loss of their four legged members and I called Aimee and asked if I could come by and just take a few photos.
Gunther was beyond sweet, we moved him from the wood floor to the carpet because his back legs aren’t working so well at holding him up on smooth surfaces and he came right up to me and leaned in for a hug and a pet. Â Â I love being a photographer for many reasons but the number one thing I love about being able to take beautiful photos is being able to share that with people so they can have images of those they love that will last forever. Â Thank you so much Aimee for letting me meet your four legged baby (all three of them!!) and share some of the images.
(If you have a pet that is getting older and you want to celebrate them with photos please let me know, all sessions for ailing pets will have a $100.00 print credit included with the session fee.)
