  • Welcome to my here today

My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

thank you ladies

Yesterday I not only had a whole surprise day off to spend with my little one (I am sorry the babysitter was sick for me to get it :( ) So we hung out and explored, went to the park and got fast food for lunch (vanilla milkshakes too!) BUT in addtion to that wonderfulness IÂ spoke to the Michigan Child Study Group about Children’s Photography and taking a better family portrait. Thank you ladies, I had a wonderful time and am delighted to have met you all!!

The picture below is one I took the other day wandering and took this picture of a bowling place in a small town north of Ohio. It doesn’t have a person in it, which is a bit different for me, but if I’m asking people to try new things, I most certainly can do the same! :)

downtown

kate - i absolutely love this image. beautiful work. in a way, the “person” is the signage. you’ve captured so much character here, even though it’s not a people shot. love it.
