  • Welcome to my here today

My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

when grandpa comes over and we remember, and we have a water fight and ride bikes and eat with family or perfect light

Happy Memorial Day, a day for remembering and then enjoying friends and family. (It is also my anniversary observed we are on 14 years together! We try to “celebrate our love all the year long” so mostly we just celebrate memorial day with a bit of extra special care.)

Grandpa came over and I caught a bit of him and Ares before it was time for Ares to go to bed.

so special

I do not know if anyone who comes to my blog are interested in videos :) I just bought a flip it is so much fun (in truth the boys like it more then I do which is amazing) and I may post one here now and again. Let me know what you think?

kristen roedner - I just stumbled here from flickr. i love the video! and your site is so much fun. keep up the great work! i’d love to come back for another visit. ;-)May 29, 2008 – 10:49 pm

susan - oh, m, i love this so much. not just the two of them, but the way you shot this with the sun flare! it makes it instantly nostalgic :) it’s the way i, and probably lots of other adults, remember things, you know? memories from our childhood. remembering the bright sun and the wind and everything is a little hazy. just like this video. :) you’re doing a great job with that flip; i need to take mine out of my bag. lol.May 27, 2008 – 6:21 pm

ellen - This is so special. Area will treasure seeing it in 20 yrs.May 27, 2008 – 3:29 pm
