I really think maternity portraits are so important. There are tons of reasons, it’s such a big change and it’s really the moment in a womans life (and a mans too really) where everything changes. IÂ try to make every maternity session unique and be about who the mother and father to be are. Not only for the mom to celebrate her changes, and her body and herself, or her and her partner to celebrate their journey together but also because I think maternity photos are for the baby, in 30 years they will be a treasure for her/him.

I was awed by the love and tenderness as well as the strength and self assurance of Kathryn and Alan. It was an honor to witness their love and for each other and the baby to be.
