• Welcome to my here today

My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

and winter slowly releases her icy grip, or it’s warm enough to go outside yea!

I would never make it as an eskimo. I mean, it wouldn’t be the seal, the blubber, the dogs (they may be a bonus) or the clothing, it would be the cold. I don’t really like it that much… it has it’s places and this year I made it until just last week before I said.. “okay I’m done with the cold” which is pretty good I think. We’ve had beautiful winter weddings which kept me happy, and the engagement sessions in the snow were inspiring, but the cold, for taking photos of us and around the house, it starts to get a bit touch and go after we’ve been stuck in the house for a while. Ares has his DS, I have work, Sean has his cooking, but I miss getting outside! So when the temperature went up to 41 degrees (today it’ll be almost 50!) I stole the bean away from DS and my iphone and we went out into the wild white world…
