• Welcome to my here today

My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

operation love – the laws family

Last year I had the opportunity to become a member of the Operation Love organization. Operation Love connects Military family’s with photographers and the photographers honor the families who have soldiers serving by providing sessions before departure and at other times as well.

Racine called me a few weeks ago, she had just had her second baby a few months before and Noah her husband and a Marine was coming home for just seven days before going off to Iraq for a tour. She wanted to be sure that she had family portraits with all the family together and to get pictures of their girls and Noah for him to have overseas. They would get a couple nights together because they still hadn’t had a real honeymoon and I would be there the day before he shipped out to celebrate their family. We made the short notice work for us and I drove out to see them on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

It was my honor and pleasure to meet all of them and to provide them with images to hopefully make the parting just a bit less hard while Noah is away.

thank you both for allowing me to come into your lives when your time together is so precious and thank you for all you do and the sacrifices you make for all of us.

BooRadBop - What beautiful photos of a beautiful family. Thank you so much for the honor of letting us in on this very private, intimate time… your absolute love for each other shines through, and is what will give you the strength to endure your time apart. It’s hard to know what to say to make your separation easier, but know that your sacrifices are very much appreciated, and you are held in our thoughts and hearts. Hugs to you all.

Betty - Oh Melissa. These are so gorgeous they brought tears to my eyes. I can easily picture that sweet little girl looking at that photo of her daddy rocking her when she is missing him. Perfectly done and with your amazing style.
