(a day late! friday wedding and a busy week makes it hard to keep deadline)
I’m a taskmaster, I set goals, make lists and when I sit down to work I “work”. I realized a few months ago that I’d totally stopped listening to music, oh in the car yes (when I wasn’t listening to npr) but even then I wasn’t enjoying it.  I always giggle when someone says they like music, because who doesn’t… but when I realized I had stopped enjoying it I made an effort to start exploring again.. I’d been sucking a bit of joy out of my life that was totally not needed to be loped off.. this last week I was poking about my last.fm station (my iphone has last.fm and pandora and I switch back and forth) and I have my itunes on my computer synched up occasionally to last.fm these were my latest stats…
listening and enjoying other things, other arts, remembering to take time out to read and noodle and write in my jounral all add up to a more creative healthy me.. and better photos, which is what I’m always striving for.
some of these surprised me… I never actually listen to jack johnson, but he must pop up on my stations a lot! Carla Bruni is in first place and I hadn’t realized how often I put her in rotation when I first sit down to get started processing for the day..
