    My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

    Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

    My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

jill and ryan ann arbor engagement session

Jill and Ryan flew in from LA for our engagement session, one I’d been looking forward to for a while. Jill is an amazing photographer in her own right and I’ve linked to her projects before here. I’d been dying to try a new location and Jill and Ryan were all for it so we started out at the Junk Yard, I loved it, I want to go back again and again and it was fun exploring. We moved on to the park where they would walk when they first met and were courting (so romantic) and then downtown for a few more frames. I enjoyed myself immensely and hope they did too, can’t wait for the wedding!
