• Welcome to my here today

My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

changing light

“There is a harmony in Autumn and a luster in it’s sky”. It’s inspiring to me how each new season brings fresh light and reinvented lustrous skies, a light reborn that begs to be rediscovered.

I am booked through October into November. I am booking weddings for 2010 and do have a few dates available for sessions in November. Diane Arbus said her favorite light was found at the end of day in the winter and indeed I would have to agree it is a lovely soft pale comforting light. Luminous and delicate.

I will be shooting a wedding out West the first week of October, we will be taking a few days as a family for a much needed vacation. I’ll be checking my email but will not be returning calls and may not be as speedy as I’d like :)

Deann B. - I, too, am always amazed and awestruck at how much the light changes. I guess that’s why we are so passionate about chasing it. Gorgeous flare here.September 28, 2009 – 1:13 am
