  • Welcome to my here today

My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

our vegas vacation

I am almost caught up from being out of town last month more then I was in town. October saw us first going to Nevada to shoot my brother in laws wedding. We took a few days off after the wedding for some family time and explored the desert and saw a bit of Las Vegas too.  The wedding will be up soon but here are a few frames from our exploring.

The view out west from the plane is one of my favorite views in the world.

The first day after the wedding we went out to the Hoover Dam. I photographed some Dam water, we ate some Dam hotdogs and had a Dam fine time! (we’ve seen Vegas Vacation a few times har we couldn’t wait to use that Dam joke and we are still trying to break Ares from using the “Dam” word, but it’s funny!)DSC_1390DSC_1356DSC_1420DSC_1424

Of course we hit the strip, we went to see Cirque too, no camera’s allowed inside though. We ate at the Bellagio, went to the top of the Eiffel Tower and checked out the sharks and jelly fish at Monteray Bay.DSC_1893DSC_1853sDSC_1871DSC_1680DSC_2756DSC_2790

But the best part was the few days we spent in the desert, hiking and climbing and exploring petroglyphs. We’ve discovered a new love for the rocks and the dirt and the heat and Ares discovered he’s a born rock climber!
