    My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

    Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

    My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

sara and dan . engagement

Sara and Dan met up with me the week before their wedding for their engagement session :) I love Sara and Dan.  I love engagement sessions, they are so darn, well nice (just like Sara and Dan).  I love getting to know my my brides and grooms better, I love getting to talk and learn more about who they are and what is important to them.  I love that the session is a little oasis of quality time for them and a great way for all of us to be that much more relaxed on the big day.  The wedding pics will be up soon but here are a few from the week before :)

Sara Brooks - The second to the last picture, fills me with such joy every time I see it. I’m declaring it as my favorite engagement picture, though they are all beautiful. Sara and Danny’s gaze into each others eyes is magical and speaks volumes of “A Couple In Love.” All who look upon that picture will be caught up in the moment.
