My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

I loved meeting Kristen and Brandon. We explored the museum and campus grounds where Brandon went to school (right downtown Detroit). It’s fun to see places from different perspectives.. Engagement sessions are my way of meting and getting to know my clients before the wedding day. We hear this all the time from photographers but it’s true for me 110% getting to know each person, each couple, getting to share some time and see them and how they are with each other. I do fall a little in love with each of them and personally I love that about what I do. Kristen and Brandon are no exception. Can not wait for their wedding day to celebrate more with them!
