Do you see that little blue sky photo there on the end table.. I took that picture.  It was just a week before the wedding and Sara and Dan had been too busy to have had time to shoot their engagement session. So three days, maybe four, before the wedding I met them at a coffee place near the house.  They were exhausted and wedding planning saturated.  It had been a really busy week.  We talked and they were thinking maybe no photos they would just go back and I said, well let’s just walk around the block.  We did and about forty five minutes later I’d shot one of my favorite engagement sessions and they were laughing and relaxed and they’d gotten a chance to just pay attention to each other for a bit, enjoy them selves .  That’s what an engagement session can be. What I like it to be.  A chance to just forget, whether  a year before your wedding or the week before, everything else and enjoy being in love.. (fyi celebrating this any time, almost wed or 20 years together is a lovely thing)
These are not engagement session images though, they are celebrating Sara and Dan’s maternity. It was so fantastical to catch up with them, hear how they have been and  capture some of their wonderful in these images.  Here are a few of them they make me smile.
Sara and Louis BrooksDear Sara and Dan, We love all the beautiful pictures our favorite photographer captured once again, of you and Dan during this very special time in your lives. The joy you and Dan feel in your hearts is reflected on your glowing, happy faces of what is to come. We know you will recapture these feelings each time you look back at your photo session of a miracle that was about to happen. Love You, Mom and Dad (Brooks)
