My bean is 8 today, we are celebrating with a party on the 4th so it’s going to be lots of hugs and kisses and love today and crazy town next weekend… I love him so.. He is my favorite and my best..

things about ares at eight:

he loves starcraft II
he complains about school
he has no fear about being 100% his own self
he’s in the advanced spelling and reading group
he’s great at math
he is kind
he is the best dancer I’ve ever met
he has violet hair
he loves his dogs
his favorite books are calvin and hobbes and american chillers
he is not a huge eater – even of cake
he has a sense of humor that cracks me up
he loves being in his pajamas
he gives amazing hugs

a photo a day – month one

On my birthday I promised myself (well to be truthful I tasked myself) I’d take at least one photo a day for pure fun. Especially on the days when I don’t have a photo session or a wedding planned (those are always fun really..) but I wasn’t picking up the camera for just me or the family or for observation or experimentation much lately and that was bumming me out… So I started a photo a day project… I’ve seen them all over for years and honestly I wasn’t so sure it as for me.. but spontaneity was gone from my photographic relationship, it had been missing for a few months, maybe longer.. and I wanted to add some of the spice back.. So I’m through a month, and I’m liking it.. not ever photo is GREAT and not every idea works, and sometimes I take a photo of something lame just to get it over with cause it’s the end of the day and I’m desperate but other times.. other times I get things, I get things I forgot I was missing until I got them and I’m so happy I’m pushing myself to do something daily. Here are a few from my first month.

Sean doesn’t get in front of the camera as often as I’d like or he should, I took this frame Saturday. It’s his birthday today. I just wanted to share it and say that I am so happy that he is in my life, that he is my husband, that he is who he is. I cannot imagine a life without him. Happy birthday love :)

seventeen years

(the iphone was the winner of our anniversary portrait, maybe next year I’ll get up and get a big camera :) )

this weekend was Sean and my observed anniversary (we were actually married on the 23rd, but it was memorial day weekend and we decided if we were going to remember it it should be on the holiday, not the date… though I sometimes call him on the 23rd and wish him a happy anniversary early..

he is my best friend, my confidant, my lover, my support, the best father to our son, and in general amazingly amazing… we boil it down to three letters “bhe” best husband ever :)

the last seventeen years have been all I could have ever dreamed of, if it’s selfish so be it, I want at least one hundred more!
