• he complains about school
• he has no fear about being 100% his own self
• he’s in the advanced spelling and reading group
• he’s great at math
• he is kind
• he is the best dancer I’ve ever met
• he has violet hair
• he loves his dogs
• his favorite books are calvin and hobbes and american chillers
• he is not a huge eater – even of cake
• he has a sense of humor that cracks me up
• he loves being in his pajamas
• he gives amazing hugs

Hugs and kisses and cuddles were really all it took to capture Tamar and Kevin’s amazing family in action.  Two little girls, and a  family now of four!  Thank you both for letting me come into your home and celebrate your beautiful family.

not so much a baby, she’s just turned one!  her smiles make me smile.

Yesterday despite my constant harrange that I have so much to do, I took Ares to the zoo.  I was feeling just a tiny bit guilty about taking the day off from albums and processing and admin stuff, just a bit, and then I got a phone call from Sean.  Our best friend, well since we met eighteen years ago, his father died, suddenly by a deer thrown into his lane by another car.  I was just leaving the house and Sean said, call him, but keep going on to the zoo, have fun, enjoy the day with Ares.   It was like the clearest thing.  I’ve lost people, my mother, my grandmother, I of all people should know that no matter what is happening we need to remember to love and listen and spend time with those closest to us, because you never know… but sometimes one forgets, and I love what I do, but I need to remember that it isn’t all work it’s those around me and life too.  That doesn’t mean to live in fear, but to maybe try to live in thankfulness, to remember that when I am listening to Ares tell me about this amazing thing he saw, to really listen, and to cherish that… not be mentally tallying off the things I should be getting done.. to really really hear him.

So I missed a day of blogging this week, four out of five isn’t  so bad and the last post of the week is mostly Ares, from yesterday, with some animal photos thrown it to break up the cuteness a bit.  I hope you don’t mind.

I’ve been sappy all week if I’m being truthful… it’s been a love fest of old and new clients, those that have become friends those that are becoming friends and I’m just totally doing my best to not question how could I be so lucky but to appreciate it and enjoy it… Danielle and Pat have been one of those families I’ve gotten pretty attached too… mix cds and pizza, engagement, weddings, newborns, family and boudoir  :)   Watching their family grow is a dream.  Here are a few photos from their new son Elliots newborn session, with the whole family looking on!
