30 day project . green

In June I did a 30 day project, shooting everyday. One of the themes was green, and it’s so beautiful and summery today I wanted to share a few here. For this theme I started inside and then did something I don’t do too often, went out just around my house and shot pure shape and colour (I’ll share more from the project over the next few weeks!)

Usually I post the portrait booth before I post the wedding but I couldn’t wait to get Jenay and Michaels wedding up and so now we have their most amazing portrait booth. I always adore it when we get to use the venue as the backdrop, it really brings so much of the day into the portraits.

Well I don’t have to tell you how Lauren and Eric and their family and friends rocked the portrait booth, you can see for yourself :) Eric’s sister MADE all the props! Fantastic stuff. I love it too when Brides and Grooms decide to use a part of the venue as the backdrop, I think it really really makes the Portrait Booth so personalized.

I should probably say too that with we love the portrait booth so much it is now part of every wedding package! Who really want’s table shots of people eating bread, and I think it’s more important to shoot what’s HAPPENING during the reception, not hunting for headshots. It’s the best way to capture the who’s who and everybody gets to have fun doing it. Awesome-sauce is included.

Ah there is nothing like a pre show warm up to your wedding images like the portrait booth. Sharon and Gerald’s wedding was beyond beautiful, right downtown Detroit at the Museum of Modern Art. I’ll post the wedding up here soon but the portrait booth rocked my socks too.

random trivia : this is the first portrait booth where we have had a successful pryamid!
