Kristy and Ryan’s wedding was my last of 2011 and it was lovely.  The fall theme, the extreamly beautiful weather and two of the nicest people getting married with their close family and friends in attendence, it couldn’t have been nicer, here is a peak at the loveliness.

• he’s great at math
• he is kind
• he is the best dancer I’ve ever met
• he has violet hair

• his favorite books are calvin and hobbes and american chillers
• he is not a huge eater – even of cake
• he has a sense of humor that cracks me up
• he loves being in his pajamas
• he gives amazing hugs

to say that Kristine and Justin’s day was Perfect doesn’t really describe it correctly.. I love all the weddings I’m part of, it’s hard not to love being a part of a special day and everyone is so unique it’s a joy to experience them.  Kristine and Justin’s day I loved because they are wonderful, and madly in love and their wedding I loved because it was beautiful to watch a vision of love and light and diy too come to such lovely fruition.  Kristine working with amazing people put together her perfect day and it was our honor to be there and watch it come together.  From the “flash mob” style speakers during the ceremony, to the handmade (by HER) napkins each guest used, to the amazing band Scythian (kids I’m telling you misty farm was MADE to have a band in the barn for receptions.. everyone felt like rockstars)  it was truly awesome.  No apologies, this is a long long blog post, I didn’t want to break up the day into two of them.. and if you want MORE you can click on the story slideshow down there at the end… Thank you Kristine and Justin for letting us be part of your vision.

Some images from the archives in honor of the Chinese New Year : At the end of 2009 I had the opportunity to travel to New York and study with Magnum Photography.  The project I worked on was in China Town.  I’ve always been fascinated with culture within culture and how they interact with each other.  I could have spent weeks exploring and discovering more about the people and lives they lived.  I’d like to go back some time and do more work on the project.
