  • Welcome to my here today

My name is Melissa Squires.. What I do is to capture frames of you that show your real true inner shining rock star self. It isn’t about being someone else, dressing some certain way and you don't need any secret sauce, you are what makes YOU and wonderful and interesting and special. My images reflect the beauty, joy, and inner soul of my subjects, and the moments they inhabit.. these images are forever.

Photography is how I express myself, how I see, how I celebrate who we are today.

My son is my breath and my husband is my life. I will be quite satisfied when I am 80 if I have loved them well and taken some amazing photographs along the way.

liz – mess up the dress

I’ve been called out lol it isn’t quite trashing the dress, no mud could be found and the petrid pool beside the wall well, even I wouldn’t ask that of anyone for a picture :) But while Liz’s trash the dress session, didn’t trash her dress it was great fun. We were out with the thistle and the wildflowers and the wind (and liz’s adorable daughter) and oh isn’t she lovely in her gown.

tonya - Beautiful! I love the double-exposed, super vignette one and the portrait of just her face. Such a treasure these photos are. I dont know why i said that backwards, like Yoda. “These photos are such a treasure.” There, thats better,

*trash the dress

Well that is what it’s called and we went out and took the most amazing pictures without worrying one bit about what happened to the dress at all and it ended up looking none the worse for wear so maybe it should be called “wear that dress and create gorgeous images”

This is just a quick Sneak Peek, there are so many more images to process but this one caught my eye as lucky first and I just had to share a preview of the session, oh gorgeousness. (and so much FUN to do).

more to come soon

roger - Wow, my wife has about 30 wedding dresses in the attic that came from her sister’s resale boutique. (Updated yearly, used for her bridal show event at the nursing home where she is the activity director.)

Shame you don’t live closer, you’d have a gold mind of opportunity.September 17, 2007 – 11:53 am

roger - Gold mine… duh, you’ve already have a pretty good brain.September 17, 2007 – 11:53 am

sarah and chris

Sarah is on bed rest and the baby could come anytime. I tried to keep the session low key and loved hearing Chris make sure she didn’t over exert herself. There are way too many amazing pictures to post up here (I cannot WAIT for you to see them Sarah) and I cannot wait to meet the new bean, who should be getting his pictures taken just a few days after he gets here! Thank you guys for a lovely afternoon!

here.today » Blog Archive » beautiful beautiful boy - [...] Sarah and Chris had their little bean just a few weeks ago. We were a touch delayed in taking his first portraits but oh it was worth the wait. What a beautiful, sweet, very hungry little boy, it was a joy to photograph him and I am soooo happy for Sarah and Chris. Here are a few from their session. [...]October 31, 2007 – 11:35 pm

cindy and dick

What a wonderful experience, and a beautiful wedding (and a reception where everyone seemed to dance including the kids). Cindy and Dick were married September first. The ceremony was beautiful, the weather was perfect, I’m so happy for them and their families. Sometimes you just know when two people are perfect for each other and they most certainly are.
