how it works

A standard session lasts anywhere from an hour to two hours. It can start at your home or you can meet at a pre decided location. Shoots are a blend of posed and un-posed moments; Laughs and hugs and playing and talking and sometimes just simply being for a moment or two. Approx. 35-75 images will be posted in an online viewing gallery, you can view and order right from your private gallery.  The gallery will be open for three weeks before the gallery is closed. I am available for in home ordering consultation or you can come to my studio for image presentation as well would you prefer.


You will have fun at a session, it isn’t pulling teeth. You won’t hear a lot of okay now look left, now look right, okay hold it hold it… you will be directed at times so you don’t feel like you have no idea what to do. You will not be bored, you will be able to make suggestions, I want to hear them. You may think at the end of the session that “this can’t be it”. It is. I was the one doing the work, you shouldn’t be. You may think that your little one was totally uncooperative and how could I have gotten anything good, trust me, I did, probably better then if they had been smiling at me sweetly the whole time.  At the end of a session you will feel as if you just had some maybe much needed just family time.


Portrait sessions are booked up to two months in advance and session slots go quickly. If we are doing a maternity/newborn session combo please let us know as soon as you are able when the new bean is here! We keep a few times open to be sure to be able to photograph your new little love as early as possible.
