Ares turned five this week, we celebrated last weekend with a big boy Chuck E Cheese party, I think a ten hour wedding is less tiring then three hours at the Cheese’s lol but the kids totally had a blast. Ares has been wanting to turn five since he turned four… I’d like very much for him not to be looking ahead so often and hope that this year as a five year old big boy he’ll enjoy himself and his new found maturity and not be thinking about six for at least ten months.
I can’t describe properly in words how much we love him, how much joy he brings every day and how lucky we are to have him. I learn so much about myself and about life from him, lessons that I could never have gained without the blessing of being able to look at the world through his very very lovely eyes (and brain :) ) I thought we were supposed to be teaching him, and we are, every time he passes half of something he gets straight to his cousins, every time he reaches out and gives his dad a hug and tells him how much he loves him, every time he shares his kind spirit or stands confidently up for himself I am proud, what he gives back is even more then I ever could have expected and I am thankful for him..
loriHis blue eyes…wow! Happy five to him!
alexisthere are no words for the cuteness/sweetness!
TomLAHe looks all grown up in that last pose. You should do the same shot when he is say 21. He’ll probably look pretty much the same.
RachelI suspect that Tom is absolutely right.
yes it’s me here.
