rockstar

How does one become a rockstar? Max up there has it for sure! I mean look at him, total freedom from fear and living for joy.

Being a rockstar to me is following your heart. Not needing to take over the world and get ALL the weddings or clients or jobs, but getting the ones that your soul connects to. I sit with Brides and by the end of our consultation felt as if we are soulmates, sisters who have never met. I love that part of my job. When I leave a session and the Bean runs up and asks when I can come play again, that’s what makes me feel rich. That connection is what makes my heart sing. I think sometimes when we say “rockstar” we mean perhaps we mean things like standing and money and sold out workshops..  I’m not saying that being a “rockstar” like that isn’t good (or desirable), I’m just saying that perhaps we can expand the definition to include some variations.  There isn’t a wrong way, the right way is the way that’s right for you!

There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun.
– Pablo Picasso

which one are you? which one do you want to be?

"there is grandeur in this view of life... that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved." - darwin

I still keep a blog, it's consistently regularly updated but not often. I like it because I can go back almost 10 years and see how I've grown and changed as an artist and how my studio has changed along with me.

Sharing my latest work both personal and commercial. Leave a comment or say hello :)
