katie and matt . university of michigan . surprise wedding party

Katie and Matts wedding was a first for me on a few counts.  One I had never photographed a wedding where the guests didn’t know they were coming to a wedding.  It was a surprise wedding on Matt’s birthday, friends and family thought it was a big birthday bash.  It was that but a lot more too :)  Second, I’ve never posed as a marketing department hired photographer to follow guests around and take their photos!  These guests knew their University of Michigan too and there were a couple tight moments when they asked me questions I would KNOW if I actually worked for the university :)  Three, I’ve never been outside in the cold so long lol, but it was totally worth it and now I know with 100% certainty my camera will work longer then my fingers  :) Finally I’ve never photographed a wedding with two people who were more genuine and warm hearted then Katie and Matt. Their wedding was beyond beautiful, the Stadium was like their second home and the perfect spot for their nuptials and it was such a pleasure to be there to capture it all!  Congratulations to you both!!!  Here are a few of the images to celebrate their day at the BIG HOUSE!

"there is grandeur in this view of life... that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved." - darwin

I still keep a blog, it's consistently regularly updated but not often. I like it because I can go back almost 10 years and see how I've grown and changed as an artist and how my studio has changed along with me.

Sharing my latest work both personal and commercial. Leave a comment or say hello :)
