So yeah, one of my images was featured on the huff post, you know… the huff… not to shabby… even better then it being one of my images was that it features so many of the amazing and unique places right here in Detroit that are beautiful for events.  It was extra fun for me reading the article because I’ve shot at Kings Books, and I’ve shot at the Gem theater… so many of the spots.. I thought I’d pull an image or two from them and share here.
the MOCAD has been my favorite location yet… all the contemporary art and being right downtown, doors open to all of Detroit was magical
We photographed Sharon and Geralds engagement session at another beautiful Detroit location, Cranbrook.
Ashley and Emmett asked John King if we could use his book store, Kings Books, Â to photograph their engagement session! He happily said yes. Â She’d been visiting for years! Â I’d never been and fell in love with the store, the books and the light!
We also got access to the old Michigan Theater, right downtown, it’s a parking garage now, can you believe it, but it is amazingly beautiful! Â Ashley’s father played behind the scenes documentary photographer and you can see me shooting in this post! Kinda fun.
Ashley and Emmett incorporated a bit of downtown Detroit into their wedding day as well, taking the whole wedding party out for burgers and shakes and the best burger in all of Detroit, Hunter House, right on Woodward!
Grace and Alec were married and held their reception at the Colony Club, the day was perfect and I have to say the Colony Club is pretty fantastical.
Something just a few weeks ago, the Gem Theater. Â So classy and the wedding on the stage was just beautiful!
There are so so many great places, too many to name and share (with photos) in one post but it’s just great in general to have Detroit getting such wonderful attention!
