Last month Kerri and I ran off to the Pacific Northwest with a friend and fellow photographer Miss Abby Rose for what was a middle of the slow season injection of light, and inspiration.  The seminar we chose this year was http://www.mysticseminars.com/ and the format was set up to have up to six speakers a day over three days with a small intimate trade show.  The seminar was a great mix of speakers, I strayed away from the “be cool like me and make a lot of money” speakers (always something to beware of at any seminar) and really went only to the more  art and heart speakers!  Three speakers a day was the perfect amount of input to mull over as we explored the city, spent WAY to much time at Powell books (my new favorite store) and explored the Japanese gardens.  Abby taught me a bunch about shooting with my iPhone,  I met a great group of photographers, I hadn’t known before, got to meet up with a friend I’ve known online for over 10 years and Kerri and I got to bliss out on long talks about life the universe and everything.  As I’m heading out to Phoenix in a couple days I wanted to share some of the shots I captured exploring (and some iPhone shots too which is a big leap for me).
Rob D.Love it!
Did you know that Oregon has over 400 different species of moss? I’m so flattered to have been able to meet you in person and hope that you’ll come back so that I can cook for you. Cheers!
