Most thanksgivings I write a long post about my family, I never imagine I’d be in a loving marriage with a husband who is my full partner, we communicate, work together and have so much fun. We are raising a kid and I could not be prouder of who he is becoming as a person, compassionate and confident and empathetic. But when I was really little I had a far off, top of the mountain dream. If I could find peace in myself, if I could find a partner I could trust to be with forever, if I could build a stable life with a house I could live in, heat and brand name jam. Â
I had a tiny hope that I might work in a job that gave me joy, that I was good at, that I could contribute joy to people in the doing of it, that I could be creative and somehow use those skills to help the world in some way. Well I have that, I not only do what I love, and I’m good at, and bring joy to others but I can use these skills to donate to friends and organizations.
Then I got this note from one of my brides this week.
Â
“I am still so thankful for our amazing wedding photos. almost 7 years later it was one of the best decisions i have ever made. I am so glad I decided it wasn’t a ‘splurge’ it was a necessity. In the spirit of thanksgiving. I just wanted to reach out and say thank you again for images I treasure to this day!”

Thank you Trae for your kind words, they lifted my spirit and thank you to every single one of you who allow me into your homes, allow me to see you in intimate and private moments, in your joys and in your worries. Thank you for letting me be part of your lives. I am humbled and thankful.
